I really do get tired of seeing crappy top movie lists with influential art house piles and supposed classics. A top movie list should be personal and not PC. Make it your own and own it. Don’t put Kane in your top 10 if you’re just doing it because Ebert did. Also, don’t leave of Pee Wee from your top 100 just because you might get made fun of (I didn’t – it’s #51 on mine). It’s your list and here is mine.
This past 3-5 years have kind of sucked for movies. Not many movies have made it into my Top Movie List in a while. I’m not sure if this is because movies have sucked recently or if I am a cold hearted bastard. Avatar was my favorite movie from 2009 but now I kind of hate it because of all the 3D crap people keep talking about (will I really wear those ugly glasses when I head to the potty in my own home?).
