The Revenant (2015)

The Revenant review

That's why the Oscars never get it right most of the time. Examples: Scorsese should have gotten at least one best director award for Taxi Driver or Goodfellas (or other noteworthy creations like Casino), Al Pacino could've easilly bagged a statue for any Godfather film, Any Given Sunday or Dog Day Afternoon (or other spectacular I missed like a Carlito's Way). Clearly Di Caprio is a talent from the beginning and yet no accolades we're collected. In anycase, he was perfect in this role as a loving protective father out for revenge and surviving any detrimental obstacle in his way. The villain acted so wel and the support just makes it so believable. Only minor complaint I had was the length, lack of information on the location/time …

The Wolf of Wall Street Review comment

I agree with every point you make. It just got too repetitive for me.

'The Fountain' moved me in ways that no film has ever done. It's a truly underrated masterpiece all it's own.

Overrated films comment

Thanks for your comment on my list. Completely agree with 300, that was just a CGI fest with dumb, false philosophy.

This is the End Review comment

Glad you enjoyed this film as well. The improv from these actors has never been funnier. McBride is a scene stealer.

The Thin Red Line Review comment

You said it. That's exactly what Malick intended. It's a powerful picture that's so much more than a war movie. God I love this film.

Oz the Great and Powerful Review comment

Maybe if they'd given Zach Braff the role of Oscar and made James Franco the monkey it would have been better. Zach Braff needed a bigger role and James Franco needed to not have a role.
I agree, no charm..
