As sweet and as indulging as the richest of Vianne's truffles, "Chocolat" is a delightfully sweet narrative that is simultaneously funny, smart, and tender.

Sweet and heartwarming film. Well written, well directed, and well acted, especially by Binoche and Dench. Nominated for 5 Academy Awards including Best Picture.

The onscreen relationship between Depp and Binoche is charming, but, mostly, the slow pace of this film left me a little bored.

Another one of these romance films that I was able to sit through. Not bad.

Chocolat is a beuticul riveting drama filled with an amazing cast---I am a huge Johnny Depp fan. The movie captures the senses and draws you in. The story is beautiful and insightful. Its full of characters you love and others you love to hate. This is definately a movie that will catch any movie lovers interest.

The brilliance of "Chocolat" is not in its actors nor its direction, but in its writing. Yes, the acting is superb, both on the side of Juliette Binoche, Alfred Molina, and Johnny Depp [who never ceases to amaze me], and Lasse Hallstrom's direction is nothing short of awesome, yet the writing is something that makes the mouth water and the heart pound. Provocative, daring, engaging, and heartbreaking, this is a movie that you can't miss.

A pretty good movie that impressed me. I loved Carrie-Anne Moss at the time. Juliette Binoche delivered, in addition to Johnny Depp. Alfred Molina is great as always and Lasse Hallstrom (director) is usually good. It revolves around chocolate so of course, I'm IN!
