Absurdly cartoony but entertaining action comedy. Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg are a surprisingly effective buddy pairing.

Two unlikely background cops find themselves in the middle of New York's biggest crime - but can they be the hero cops they so idolize, or will they let chance slip by yet again. this movie was funny and enjoyable to watch.

I assumed that I would find this movie better than most because my gut tells me it isn't as great as I think it is. But... it is. I found this movie hilarious. It is much crazier and funny than most buddy-cop films where Wahlberg actually got me to laugh with his "I'm a Peacock Captain, you have to let me fly" and the reasons for him knowing art, dance, and the like. He is almost doing a parody of himself the whole movie. Ferrell on the other hand was very good at sharing the spotlight and I found him to be hysterical.

Not as funny as I hoped it would be.The funniest scenes were the 1s that were shown on the movie trailers.I found The Rock & Samuel Jackson more funny together then I did Will Ferrell & Mark Wahlberg. After The Rock & Samuel Jackson died, I didnt find the movie to be as funny anymore & it went downhill from there

While there were some great moments throughout the film, I couldn't help feeling this was just another generic buddy comedy, despite the big names involved. It's good enough for a watch if you're in the mood, but didn't blow me away.

A solid comedy that brings Will Farrell back to his best rolls. An awkward guy that is just a bit off. Also helps that he is not really the main character. I think this will be better on second viewing. One of the better comedies of 2010.

i have to be honest.i did not like this film.yea it got a lot of help, just caue ferall and whalberg were working together, but the film wasnot good.th comedy wasn't that good.th story was everywhere.for crying out loud, cop out was abetter movie.yeah i said it.at least "cop out" was funny, "the other guys" wasn't. "cop out" made me laugh, while "th other guys" just made me chuckle.and chuckles aren't s good as laughs.hate to be hating on this film, but i did not like i as much as i was hoping to.

First solid movie from Will Ferrel in a while. Enough smart and stupid funny parts and fairly innovative, but the movie just went in too many directions to be a bona fide hit. Politics, romance, drama, comedy; it was all there but didn't completely gel. Worth renting for some genuine laughs.

In a year of very few decent out and out comedies, The Other Guys feels like an oasis in a vast desert of mediocrity. A buddy movie about a couple of mismatched cops is hardly ground-breaking yet the chemistry between Will Ferrell and a surprisingly good Mark Wahlberg ignites the screen. A high laugh quota (yes, a few gags miss-fire but isn't that always the case), high octane action scenes and a reasonably decent plotline help to propel "The Other Guys" to "Anchorman" like status. An uneven, crude and spotty movie it may be, but the Other Guys unquestionably stakes a claim as one of the comedies of the year.

There were plenty of funny moments. However, from what I could understand of the plot, it was a little boring.
