Lara Croft is a hunter-for-hire - but her prey is rare antiquities, and she will go to the ends of the earth to find what she needs. A rare planetary alignment has a secret society looking to dominate the world by acquiring two rare artifacts. It's up to Lara Croft to thwart their plans. I have played the Original games on PS2 and the games are fun to play thought but the movie is a bit dull to be honest.

Angelina Jolie is perfectly cast in a kind of female Indiana Jones movie based on a videogame. The action sequence in the mansion is fantastic but the story is typically half-arsed and the romance with Daniel Craig (who is awful) is wholly unconvincing.

Average action flick. Not as bad as most video game movies.

A female version of Indiana Jones with a touch of Aeon Flux. The action was evidently present, stunts were nice and it was visually delightful. The film overall needed to become more interesting despite Jolie's impressive display.

Although it doesn't approach the free-spirited greatness of Indiana Jones, the first Lara Croft film is surprisingly entertaining and slickly made, balancing sly humor with some impressive set-pieces and action. Angeline Jolie is gorgeous and suave as the heiress tomb hunter and her commanding performance helps the movie greatly.

This was surprisingly good. I thought Jolie was really fantastic as Laura Croft. Although the story isn't that amazing, it was still exciting and fun with some really great butt-kicking by Jolie.

An ambitious project to bring the Tomb Raider game franchise to the big screen. It works better than most video game adaptations, but it's still a run-of-the-mill action film. Jolie was a good choice for Lara Croft - the accent not so good.
