Decent, Action flick

Mission Impossible 3 is the latest installment of a well known spy franchise starring Tom Cruise. In this day and age it seems to be proving harder and harder for people to come up with new movies and while this was a decent movie it was another rehashing of a series that probably could should be wrapped up. Other than the fact that this movie didn’t have original characters or an original premise it still had an interesting plot line and captivating action scenes.

The plot begins with a new character being shot immediately on the side of the street with no explanation. Later it is explained. The true main character is found in a Russian prison. The secret agent this movie revolves around, Ethan Hunt is broken out of a prison. After he’s broken out the movie starts getting into …

"Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol" by Yojimbo

The IMF are framed for an explosion in the Kremlin and the entire organisation is disavowed, leaving Ethan Hunt and his team alone to expose a fanatic bent on nuclear Armageddon as the true culprit. I've never been the biggest fan of the Mission: Impossible franchise as a whole; the first was okay at the time but looked very dated in the wake of Jason Bourne's re-energisation of the action thriller, the second was typical of John Woo's daft excesses and the third took itself way too seriously to be fun. Ghost Protocol however manages to get the balance just right; the character dynamic works much better than in the previous films, with Simon Pegg's tech geek providing plenty of amusing banter without becoming a comic stooge and there is some quite spectacular stunt work. The plot is once …

When the Kremlin blew up by a bomb, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his team become primary suspects of Russian force, if they get caught, they will be declared as terrorists and enemies of the state. Their only way to get out of this was to expose people who are really behind the bombing.

I am not really sure if I saw the previous three installment of this movie, but anyway, I kind of disappointed yet satisfied with this MI film.

THE DISAPPOINTMENT: Nothing really special with the story, not smart as I assumed before seeing the film, even the twist on Jeremy Renner's character did not work well.

THE SATISFYING: I love the characters, all with humor and fun to watch acts especially William Brandt's (Jeremy Renner). The actions, running, chasing, climbing, car bumping, the sand …

The movie opens with Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) locked away in a Russian prison been busted out by fellow IMF agents, IT wizard cum comical side kick Benji Dunn (Simon Pegg) and the beautiful Jane Carter (Paula Patton) in order for Hunt to resume a mission at IMF.

But things go horribly wrong and soon, Russia and the United States find themselves at the brink of war and the entire IMF is disavowed. With no plan, no backup and no choice Hunt and his team, which now includes William Brandt (Jeremy Renner) an IMF analyst with a mysterious past are forced to go on the run.

In an effort to both clear their names and save the world, Hunt and his comrades pursue Alex Hendricks, a nuclear extremist bent on destroying civilization as we know it, using a variety of elaborate and frantic …

Impossible series not slowing down at all!!!

The 4th installment of this ever so cool franchise with no signs of slowing down or jumping the shark if you will? In this present day in motion pictures that's just short of incredible!! For those that have said that Tom Cruise(Ethan Hunt) is too old for this type of role..pffft!! He is totally awesome as Ethan Hunt and looks absolutly fantastic for his age! (He's 49 this year for anyone keeping track) In my own opinion the Mission Impossible series is just as good if not better then the James Bond series of films yet another super spy franchise i'm totally fond off. For those of you that enjoy a total kick ass action flick plus espionage and government ops then if you haven't watched any of the MI. films then may i suggest them for you? This message btw will self destruct in T-10 …

Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol

As far as action movies go, Tom Cruise may be getting older, but he is getting better. Tom Cruise stars in the exhilarating action packed movie, Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol. He plays Ethan Hunt who, along with his striking team which includes Paula Patton, Jeremy Renner, and Simon Pegg, works exceptionally hard to save the world in such little time. After a bomb almost kills him, Ethan Hunt meets his team to start an extreme mission only for the finest undercover agents. They endure whatever it takes to obtain the codes to a Russian nuclear bomb before it sets off worldwide nuclear warfare. In the movie the team does everything from fighting foreign assassins to climbing up the side of the tallest building in the world (located in Dubai). They take every risk possible to complete …

Exciting Thrill Ride!!! Ethan Hunt's best!!!

Wow! And I thought Mission: Impossible III was great. But this one is a total package of explosive entertainment. Superbly paced, highly gripping, brilliantly executed & very well directed with some genre-defining action sequences that are simply exhillerating. The fourth installment in the Mission: Impossible series, the first live-action film by Brad Bird has turned out to be one hell of an movie served with explosive mixture of action & humor.

Tom Cruise reprises his role as the famous IMF Agent, Ethan Hunt. And this film, compared to predecessors might be his most demanding of 'em all. But Cruise shines again to make MI what it always has been... A one-man show. Supporting him is a team of new members this time. Paula Patton carries herself very nicely as Jane and turned out to be …

Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol review

Daniel Corleone - wrote on 01/19/2012

Ethan Hunt (Cruise) manages a team consisting of lead Carter and Dunn to infiltrate the secret Moscow Kremlin archives and locate files identifying Cobalt. The US president activates "Ghost Protocol", a black operation contingency that disavows the entire IMF. Analyst William Brandt becomes part of hunt’s team. A few impossible scenes were jumping off a speeding car unscathed, the antagonist still running from a car crash, holding on to dear life from a broken window from a high building without breaking any bones after crashing into it, and more. Its conclusion seemed abrupt and somewhat tried to connect with the previous films. weakest link was the character Jane Carter. Nevertheless, this was fast paced with a nifty plot and solid performances. Stunts were incredibly crafted …

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol

I have a confession: Tom Cruise is my own personal enigma. Time and time again, I cannot explain how I manage to find this man to be mindblowingly arrogant and quite frankly, a general weirdo, and yet I have LOVED just about every movie I have ever seen him in. It’s like a twisted form of admiration that even I don’t quite understand, because I am serious when I say this: I REALLY don’t like him. And yet true to form, by the end of MI-4, I was under that spell again.

THE GOOD: Blamed for the recent bombing of the Kremlin, the IMF is shut down and all members are disavowed, which leaves Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his fellow agents on their own to clear the agency’s name and prevent another attack—this one designed to be on a more frightening scale. Joined by agents Benji, …

Cruise Is Back To The Top of His Game

Alex - wrote on 12/29/2011

One of the best action movies of 2011. Tom Cruise proves once again that he is the best super star on the planet. I was pleasantly surprised at how good of an action movie this was.

Story: Less confusing than all other Mission Impossible movies. This time they keep it simple. A bomb blows up the Kremlin and the IMF team are framed as traders. Ethan Hunt, of course, is left to try to save him and his team's name. I liked the linear story and there were enough twists and turns to keep me on my feet. The best story since the first one.

Cinematography/Style: Though each shot is not as artistic as I like, Brad Bird does an amazing job of pulling off the action stunts. Gone are the bullshit stunt moves and in their place are more...well (im)possible stunts. As with many people. my …
