A critique of the 1950s Red Scare, "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" has a true intelligence that ascends it above other sci-fi B-movies of the era.

A thrilling science fiction parable of Cold War paranoia with an excellent lead performance by Kevin McCarthy and an ominous musical score.

I liked it. I just wish the dialogue flowed better.

A brilliant sci-fi film that packs an above-average emotional punch for a 1950's sci-fi. When most sci-fi directors of the 50's were obsessed with bad creature effects, this film ramps up the tension and suspense into a terrifying climax.

I can see why a lot of people like this film. Its fun, and hasn't really dated. But i didn't love it personally. It just didn't grip me or interest me all that much. There wasn't a lot to grab hold of other than the story. Still, the best sci-fi film of the 50's remains Robert Wise's The Day the Earth Stood Still.

If you like good movies, you'll like Invasion of the Body Snatchers. If you like classic horror and sci fi films, you'll like Invasion! Out of the four Invasion movies, this one stands out far as the best, and it's the one that started it all.

Has to be one of the best sci-fi horrors of it's time all set around a doctor who soon realises his friends are not the same and his patients start to say there family members are inposters who he puts down as mad. Until one night when his firends show him a partly formed body they have uncovered in their home in the greenhouse, he begins to realize that there may be some truth to the wild stories he has been hearing. To hide out and not to fall asleep.

A true B-movie, that stands the test of time. Only see this one and don't bother witht he remakes. For those fans of American History of the 50's this is one to see. It, along with The Day the Earth Stood Still, plays on people's fears of nuclear annihilation and a Communist take over.

A great 50's sci-fi movie that keeps you on your feat the entire film. It is almost like a chase movie and reminds me of so many that have been made since. It is a classic sci-fi mystery - so those fans will most enjoy it. Better than good.
