I was looking forward to seeing this and never got around to it. Unfortunately, Lord of War is a disjointed disappointment. It has its good moments and the acting is fine. But what begins as a quirky and interesting story about an ugly business slowly becomes something ugly. Nicolas Cage is great for this sort of unlikable protagonist but you root for because they're the most logical person in the room.

A great watch that has real-world scenarios involved. One of Cage's not-so-ridiculous movies. It is one of my favorites. I can only wonder where this movie could have gone with a better cast.

Anchored by a more nuanced and subdued Nic Cage performance, Lord of War is an intriguing look into the dark world of international arms dealing. The film manages to raise interesting questions of morality while still taking a dark comedy approach to its story in a way that, oddly, works.

What is the nature of evil? If you think you know, sit down to Lord of War and find out everything you thought you knew turned on its head. It may seem lighthearted, but view it again and it's chilling what goes on in this world.

"Lord Of War" by Yojimbo

Lord Of War stars Nicolas Cage as an arms dealer who happily supplies any and everyone in the world without thought to moral implications; he sees himself purely as a businessman supplying to meet a demand. This initially intriguing premise could've been a biting political satire and comment on the role of the west in the seemingly never-ending military conflicts that flare up around the world. Instead it's a rather half-hearted affair in which there seems to be little in the way of character development, depth of plot or even moral message; the result is a film that resembles a cross between The Last King Of Scotland and Sgt. Bilko. The only attempt to give these factors context on the world stage is a line of text at the end of the film that proclaims that the 5 permanent members of the...

A French-German-American action drama film that that includes personalities and events that have historical accuracy.
