James Bond is on a mission to discover who killed a fellow agent. In Jamaica he and CIA agent Felix Leiter, along with the stunning Honey Rider follow the clues and dodge danger until their investigation leads to the mysterious Dr. No where an even more sinister plan will unfold. this movie has the coolest line in movie history, "The name is Bond James Bond". sean connery was cool in the role of mr. bond himself.

The first Bond film isn't quite the exciting and witty thrill ride the series would become (nor the gritty and dark film the reboots are), but it still contains several energetic action sequences and classic spy scenes. Sean Connery was born to play the role of the cocky and collected secret agent.

A solid starting movie for the long going franchise. No fan can say no to 'Dr. No'.

The year was 1962 and the world's longest running movie franchise was kick started with this great Bond movie. It provided a formula which future Bond movies were to follow, such as pretty girls, exotic locations, eccentric villains, and elaborate traps.
Anyway in this film Sean Connery as James Bond in Jamaica looking for a colleague when he follows the clues and ends up on an island where evil genius Dr. No is scheming to end the US space program but of course Bond won’t let that go without a fight and together with the first ever Bond girl (Ursula Andress) as Honey Rider (A very sweet name according to James) and a local who is helping him they team up to destroy the evil genius that is Dr. No.
This is the film that jump-started Sean Connery's career as the suave British secret …

James Bond is sent to the Caribbean to investigate the disappearance of an operative following his investigation of a reclusive scientist operating out of a nearby island. From the moment Sean Connery appears on screen it is immediately obvious that he had a special kind of charisma and the early scenes of Dr. No establish his character and appeal perfectly. The 60s styling will also appeal to nostalgia buffs and despite some rather workmanlike plotting, the first half of the film is really rather enjoyable. Unfortunately once the "action" shifts to Dr. No's island things take a turn for the worse. Terence Young's deliberate pacing slows to a snail's pace and No himself (who looks slightly less Chinese than Connery does) with his ridiculous mechanical hands, incompetent assassins and …

John Strangways, the British Intelligence (SIS) Station Chief in Jamaica was killed and his body taken by a trio of assassins known as the "Three Blind Mice". Sylvia Trench meets James Bond in a Casino. He travels to Jamaica and grills Mr. Jones and searches Commander Strangeways. Bond meets Felix, a CIA agent and Dr. Dent to find out more about Strangeways samples. The professor tries to kill Bond but was unlucky. He comes across Honey on a beach while both are captured by Dr. No’s men. Dr. no has plans for world domination while Bond wants to avenge the death of Quarrel and Strangeways.
The girl with the camera and dancing shows how dated the film is. Bonds conversation with Honey tends to drag. Hard to see 007 without any gadgets and lack of Q, same goes for a more vicious …
