Oddly, a charming film with high energy song and dance numbers that carry the film, despite a plot built mainly around exposition and coincidence. If you don't take this film too seriously, it's enjoyable and nostalgic at the same time.

This movie caught my attention but not enough.now, i think i am obliged to watch it because our organization will be staging this musical. I can't say that it is a very great movie but am confident that the actors did well, especially Meryl Streep (She's cute in this movie! =D ) The songs, of course, are those we want to hear. The story is "JUST OK", maybe because it is all based on the songs of one artist. I predicted correctly the ending. I DO ENJOY MUSICAL ♥

A Musical That Celebrates Flaws

I thought I would dislike this movie because I’m not a fan of musicals nor am I a big fan of ABBA (even though I’m familiar with some of their songs). What saved and (surprisingly enough) elevated this picture is its sheer enthusiasm to entertain its audiences. It’s not afraid to be silly or too light or even feature some bad singing. It takes a lot of courage from the director (Phyllida Lloyd) and writer (Catherine Johnson) for the film to embrace its inconsistencies, flaws, and logic so I must commend them for it. Even though the film is full of stars such as Amanda Seyfried and her three potential fathers (Stellan Skarsgård, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth), the actors that truly shine are Meryl Streep (as Seyfried’s single mother) and her two best friends: Julie Walters and …

MamaMia Here We Go Again MyMy I Should've Resisted

I'm not sure why people think that everything can be transferred onto screen. While I have never seen Mamma Mia on Broadway it has proven to be very successful since it has been there for ages. Sometimes I think that critics wants something to be good so badly that they just lie. I really hated this. I couldn't wait for it to be over. Two of the songs were familiar, but that's it. The rest of the movie was a bit of a circus. It was just ridiculous actually, and there were just way too many songs. I ususally like musicals a lot. This one was quite awful. Let me say though that Meryl Streep was brilliant as alwayts. I'm not too sure how I feel about her voice. Any of the voices to be quite honest. Seyfried may have had the best voice but it still wasn't amazing. I'm quite tired of …
