Al Gore travels in support of his efforts to educate the public about the severity of the climate crisis. He shows the realization and need for creating such a documentary. The greenhouse effect, effects of global warming and climate changes were discussed with the various crowds he presented to. He utilizes concrete facts and recurrences such as Hurricane Katrina, coral reef depletion, glacial earthquake activity on the Greenland ice sheet, wildfires, and trapped methane gas release associated with permafrost melting. An Inconvenient Truth is an insightful look at how people tend to disregard our planet's resources while nature is being destroyed by uneducated people.

The statistics are disturbing, but the presentation of this documentary is just not compelling when it's turned into the Al Gore Canonization Cause. Every time he said "moral issue" I could taste a little puke in my mouth.

Whether or not its true, Al Gore and Davis Guggenheim craft a documentary that is intriguing, informative, and never boring. At times it is convincing and, at the very least, it serves as an excellent talking point for the global warming debate.

An Inconvenient Truth had a good idea to it, but didn't show the entire story. I'll admit, watching Al Gore rattle on and on about global warming was a little more entertaining than I excepted, but I didn't feel like he was telling the whole story. That, and the breaks between the lecture that told stories about his life was completely stupid. I was watching a documentary on global warming, not Al Gore. There was no reason for the extra things to be in there. For anyone that wants to be driven to paranoia, An Inconvenient Truth can do that, but I recommend doing some outside research. I'm not saying that global warming isn't happening, I'm saying that there's more you need to understand before you start saying that Al Gore is right.

Piece of junk. If you want facts without a crazy environmentalist shoving ideas down your throat, go read "State of Fear" by Michael Crichton. You'll find that all of what Gore was talking about is only half the story. I believe in the issues of global warming and how we have to stop it, but I don't like being told how to think.

Globally and morally important film with topical messages about Earth's excesses, though it veers uncomfortably into political territory at times and takes away some of it's punch. Kudos to Al Gore and his ongoing fight for change. Final Grade: B

This movie truly made me want to change my life. I thought Al Gore presented a good look at how we are destorying our planet. If you don't take at least a little from this you are only kidding yourself. This made me believe that if we don't start taking some sort of action now, not only are we screwed, but what about our children?

An incredible, eye-opening documentary that takes a factual based view of how we are slowly destroying our planet. All the evidence that Al Gore presents is objective evidence collected by in the field scientists. He builds the film slowly showing the impacts of our everyday decisions and connecting the dots in the seemingly disconnected events. The only draw back from this film is the fact that Al Gore talks about his personal life in the film. Although I enjoyed those pieces, as you can see in some of the reviews below, it causes the film to come off as politically slanted. Although the film itself is, the content about global warming and the fact that it needs to happen now is not.
