With the superpowers they have and the situation they were put in (good vs. evil); I expected A LOT more from this movie than what I got. It was a very weak and shallow movie, as I felt I barely watched anything by the end. Great plot, terrible execution.

I am sick of "found footage" style movies. I have a few that i really like, but this is not one of them. Would have been better as a standard movie. A cool concept that was paced well, surprisingly well directed and written. Can't wait to see the next flickk these guys do.

It take a while to adjust to the found footage style of storytelling, which often cuts mid-scene and plays with unique camera perspectives. The film presents an intriguing perspective on the usual super hero origin story. The scenes where the friends are testing their newfound powers are among the film's best, as the exuberance of discovery that one can fly, move objects telepathically, etc. is captured energetically. The film sometimes bends to super hero cliches (it's difficult to shake all the typical plot points of the genre,) but the insane (and I do mean insane) action-packed finale is a thrill ride reminiscent of Cloverfield (and I loved that movie.)

This movie was a good time killer, but not much more. It is ok to watch on DVD, but no need to watch in the theater. The story had all the right ideas, but lacked all the right stuff to bring it together into a great movie. The "Found Footage" aspect probably did not need to be done, and the characters needed more depth.

Here's one less irritating 'found footage' movie. It makes clever use of the format and there is absolutely no 'shaky cam'. Though, it really wasn't necessary and holds back the story from developing into something greater. It's still an entertaining take on the superhero genre that offers up a new experience.
