This movie has a 33% on rotten tomatoes and on IMDB it's got a 6.1/ 10. and am not saying it is a good movie but I didn't think the movie was that bad as people and critcs say but the movie has alot of things wrong with it but to me I enjoyed it. the movie has alright visual effect's and the story is kind of a cliche, but the movie itself viewing it as a action movie it does give the action and fight sense.

Eh - it's a lot like Twilight but with aliens instead of vampires. The story isn't incredibly interesting - the characters are on about the same level (except Timothy Olyphant - the man rocks) but if you're looking for a little bit of fluff, I guess you could do worse.

I thought this movie was awesome. It has a great story line and the special effects were amazing. And the two characters we have met have awesome abilities. And I loved the way they were different. Just because they came from the same planet didn't mean that they had to be the same in their personalities and their abilities. Can't wait for the next one.

This could have been a pretty good start to a franchise, but the problem with origin stories is that sometimes they are too heavy on exposition and light on everything else. Such is the case with Number 4, an interesting story where human-like aliens have superhuman powers and are being hunted down by some enemy. It's never really clear who the enemy is or what their deal is, but it's necessary for the action. Unfortunately, in an attempt to appeal to the teen crowd, there's too much emphasis on the teen angst and not enough emphasis on the heroes.

I was surprised at how much I liked this movie. Better than Jumper and many of the other recent teen sci movies. Decent acting, good looking Girls and a cool little story. Sequel could be even better. Great movie for 13-20 year old dudes looking for something fun to watch.

If this film didn't have any action, it would be a snorefest. The characters aren't that appealing, the story is all over the place. If only the character build up and script was better. The film looked like a music video. Not one of the best films about aliens.

"I am number four", it was a great movie not just for kids but for adults too. i really enjoed this moive and I find people relating this movie to twilight or eclpise. theres no relation to it what so ever which makes it great and also the action, sci-fi were it all comes together really well! If they come out with a second one i will definately go and see it! I have been on plenty of blogs and they compare it to that twilight. which doesnt make o sense theres NO LOVE TRIANGLE, and the girl doesnt freak out when he leaves to find the other Loriens. Great movie!

To be honest, I didn't understand the whole thing about this movie "I am number four". What is clear to me was there is a killing in order. The first three have been killed and now the "running" comes to number four. This movie is packed with good action scenes which i really appreciate. I think it's a good thing that it is incorporated with "teen-y" plot, Sarah and John's love story for teens to enjoy it. It's just that I am looking for more rational reasoning and wittier sci-fi combined. Sequel? I would love to watch it. =D

I didn't know what to expect with this film, but even though it had some cheesy scenes that only teenagers will enjoy, I liked this film a lot! The action was great, their powers were pretty damned cool and it actually ended the movie with me wanting more. Good thing they will likely make a sequel!
