An outlaw (Daniel Craig) with a weapon on his wrist is a stranger in a town. He meets Colonel Woodrow Dolarhyde (Harrison Ford) to battle the aliens. Soundtrack and screenplay were descent. The battles and locations were wonderful. If only better character development, storytelling and origins of the aliens were delved into. Acting was solid and believable as well. Cowboys & Aliens is a pleasant mix of two film genre's filled with action sequences that is unique despite the lack of a better plot.

Coming back to his town knowing nothing about himself, Jake Lonergan, accused of criminal acts including murdering a woman, has to find answers to his and people's question. Mysteries connected to an alien invasion on their town. *** Western plus aliens in one film is really awesome! Very good concept, and great combination. The film executed a good concept well. The good thing about this film is that it holds your interest all through out. The mystery of what those extraterrestrial creatures want while discovering the antagonist's life. VERY GOOD CONCEPT. RECOMMENDED!

I did not think this would be a very good movie when I first saw the trailer. I could not have been more wrong. Daniel Craig was spectacular in the leading role as a loner in a strange town ready to kick ass. He gets plenty of opportunity against fellow cowboys and some Indians and once all hell breaks loose, he even kicks some major alien ass. Stars Olivia Wilde and Harrison Ford.

altough westerns aren't my favorite movies this one can do. It's fun to see aliens get their butts kicked by cowboys and indians! It's a bit strange at the beginning of the movie but along the way you get used to it and everything seems to fit in a strange way. I liked this one.

It was pretty much as good as I expected it to be. The aliens were kind of unbelievable though. However, I think that Olivia Wilde's character made up for it.

I liked this movie. I usually don't go for the alien types of movies, so this was enough western that I didn't mind the aliens. If you aren't a real sci-fi type of person, I think the movie is a good option.

I was severely disappointed in this movie. I had low expectations going in, thinking more on the lines of Wild Wild West with Will Smith. Wild Wild West is better than this movie. There are a few funny parts, but most of the movie seems rushed and forced. Poorly directed. This is straight up action and not sci fi. Crappy.

A good summer action movie anchored by two strong performances by Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford, not to mention a great supporting cast including Sam Rockwell, Paul Dano, and Clancy Brown. When aliens arrive and start taking family members, it's up to a ragtag group of people to fight and try and get them back. There's a twist halfway through that took me by surprise (if you've seen it you know what I'm talking about), but once the film plays out I didn't have a problem with it. Good cinematography and an action-packed score help add to a good time.
