An excellent musical comedy that delivers the same charming laughs the original SNL sketch did.

Great movie, great music, and extremely funny. After Ghostbusters, this is my favorite Dan Aykroyd movie.

A classic that I just discovered. Jake and Elwood are on a mission from God to save their former orphanage. How they do it is a laugh a minute. The cameos are just as good, especially Ray Charles as a musical instrument salesman. Watch out for the Steven Spielberg cameo at the end.

Cool and memorable characters provide ample entertainment in this road chase flick. A fun comedy with laughs, musical performances, and car chases aplenty!

Jake (Belushi) is released from prison and his brother Elwood (Aykroyd) picks him up. They discover that their childhood home Roman Catholic orphanage will close-down unless they earn $5,000 to pay the tax assessor. A mystery woman tries to kill them numerous times, offend a group of "Illinois Nazis" while the cops continuously chase them. A rare musical gem that can be enjoyed with performances from the greats Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin and James Brown. The set location/pieces and car chases make this film succeed instead of the plot. Had a few humor but at times it drags due to long songs and sneaking around from the cops. The Blues Brothers is still considered a classic for its genre and creativity.

This is probably the best SNL adaptation film. Not only does it feature some witty dialogue and brilliant cameos, but the music is way above average for a comedy film.

The first "SNL turned movie" remains a comedy classic. The soundtrack and the comedic chemistry between Aykroyd and Belushi is what holds the movie together. A hysterical gem.
