Good God was this movie terrible. Such a let down after Sin City. The biggest flaw here is REALISM, which it thoroughly lacked in every sense. I couldn't tell if I was watching a loony toons comedy or an action movie with a political message. Avoid this.

Federale Machete is hired for an assassination but is betrayed. Surviving a bullet, he goes on a rampage of revenge and won't stop until everyone has paid. machete is one of those films that started of cool and sweet but then the movie goes a bit slow and you don't care that much.

Okay, did this movie reinvent the film industry, no, but that doesn't mean that it wasn't good. I truly enjoyed this film. It was fun. Sometimes you just want to sit down and watch a film that doesn't require too much thinking. You have to hand it to Robert Rodriguez for turning a trailor that was shown in between the two parts of Grindhouse (2007) into a feature film. A fun movie!

It was like a REAL bad 70s action flick but way more over the top.The acting sucked,The story was lame,Waste of time,Waste of $$$.I wouldn't recommend anybody go see this piece of.......crap

This movie was all kinds of awesome. I loved the political messages as well as the action. I had no idea intestines were that long! lol.

Typical Robert Rodriguez movie, action and violence/gore. Has a bit of humor, and a nude scene with Lindsay Lohan which was pretty awkward to watch. It was cool to see Danny Trejo in a lead role. Really enjoyed the ladies (Alba and Rodriguez') roles. Machete was gettin it in all over the place, lol

Great movie for what it is. If you have the right expectations prior to watching this movie, and don't expect to see a movie that will impress you as a great flick, then this movie will be pure entertainment to watch. However, this movie won't be one that I ever buy, and I probably won't have a need to watch it again.

Machete only fulfills half my expectations. I wanted this to be a crazy, bloody, funny good time, but I only got that in bite size pieces throughout the film. Too many characters and too much unnecessary filler took up more screen time than what I came to see: Machete brutally murdering bad guys and being a bad ass. When it was good, it was definitely good. However, it was just a tad tamer in being over-the-top than I expected and the movie didn't focus completely on Machete the entire time. I must admit that Piranha 3-D was a more satisfying crowd pleaser than the much longer awaited Machete.
