Part "Wall Street," part "Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer," "American Psycho" reimagines the world of 1980s yuppies and lets Christian Bale give his most sadistic performance ever.

Bale is good, the music is great, but the story sucked. Just coasts along without any real delivery or substance. Disappointing is the nicest way I can describe it.

the story is about An eccentric, wealthy, NY business man finds he can't control himself. An extremely 80's view on economics, music and culture. this movie is funny dark, drama, movie.

A brilliant psychological thriller that lives on the edge of ambiguity. Bale is chilling and charismatic as the morally-devoid serial killer. The atmosphere in this film is thick.

An excellent movie, but the ending left me confused and was not very well executed. Still, an incredible cult classic. Very underrated.

What a great movie. Yes, twisted, disgusting, and honestly freaky, I still found this movie to be very enjoyable, with Christian Bale's best performance ever. I loved this movie and I can't say it enough. The book was definitley better, but where is that not true outside of Lord of the Rings, eh?

I first saw this movie quite awhile ago. Years later, I found out that Christian Bale starred in this. I could hardly believe it, since I am no fan of his acting. He is, however, very good in American Psycho. I really liked the movie. It's full of dark humor and quite a bit of killing. The plot is interesting and unfolds in a maniacal, ever building story. It was fascinating to watch Bale's character unraveling at an ever increasing speed. I think the character suited Bale's acting. He was pretty darn good as a crazy man. So strange since I haven't liked him in the other movies I've seen him in. I still enjoyed this movie when viewed for a second time. It was quite weird and twisty at the end. I do recommend it.

Forget Batman, or Empire of the Sun or Shaft (You can forget that entirely), this is Christian Bales best performance. This, for me is one of the very best performances ever on screen. In a remarkable adaptation of the grisly novel, Director Mary Harron has turned this is into a satirical dark comedy, with Bale as the yuppie wall street part time serial killer. Bales performance is done almost entirely in the face, his blank expressions, his dead eyes, and his maniacal outbursts. The film is a gem, but if its not your ideal kind of film, at least watch it to see Bale prove himself to be one of the best actors in the business.

As far as I can remember, I thought I enjoyed this movie. I probably need to watch it again. CHRISTIAN BALE was good. Plot was very predictable of course, that there was something twisted in the end. Makes you guess on what's coming up next. It's alright.
