I thought this was better than 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10. The look of Jason, the match up of him and the telekinetic girl and the level of camp all make this one stand out above the rest of the (post #4) sequels. The only downfall to this installment is the heavy editing of gore that the MPAA did. However, if you own the "From Crystal Lake to Manhattan" box set, you can see these awesome moments of gore. I just wish that they would re-instate the sequences into the film like the new 'My Bloody Valentine' DVD did.

The last good Friday installment they made until Jason vs Freddy came along. Plus, this marks Kane Hodder's first appearance as Jason, and that's a great thing in my book. Ah, why can't they bring ol' Kane back?

Another rather weak entry for the slasher series. The premise is at least original, but psychic powers don't belong in Friday the 13th movies. The acting is sub-par even if Jason looks cool.

A New Blood is set years after Jason being chained to the bottom of Crystal Lake, he is awoken by a girl with telekinetic powers and begins another killing spree.
How did this series get here? I mean, what started as the usual slasher movie with the first movie, then suddenly turns into one of the most ridiculous and silly horror movies I have ever seen. A girl with Telekinesis powers that beats up Jason...WHAT?! And yes, I know it's going for a different approach as this is the seventh movie in the series, but it's only done for the sake of it and it's dreadful.
This is by far the worst entries to the Friday the 13th series. It's boring, the acting is atrocious and so is the writing, but the whole …
