There's lots of big, raunchy laughs in "Zach and Miri," but also some brief moments of sadness that make them more valuable.

I am a huge fan of Seth Rogen, and I give a lot of credit to Kevin Smith for his work, so I enjoyed this movie. It isn't great and is easily forgettable, but is very funny and worth the watch.

Wie muss Kevin Smith wohl aufgewachsen sein? Ich denke, dass "Schuld" und "Sünde" bei seiner Erziehung eine Rolle gespielt haben. Mit Ende 30 scheint er immer noch zu glauben, dass Sex etwas Dreckiges ist, ansonsten ist seine Komödie Zack and Miri Make a Porno kaum zu glauben. Der ganze Film ist dazu angetan, verklemmte Menschen zu schockieren (vielleicht die aus Smith Heimatort?). Diese Zielgruppe aber wird den Film sowieso nicht ansehen. Und wir Anderen? Wir sehen uns Smith Film an, bei dem Lesbensex und andere Köstlichkeiten vorgeführt werden und ständig F... PIEP! gerufen wird. Zack (Seth Rogen) and Miri (Elizabeth Banks) are two best friends since childhood and roommates who managed to keep their relationship totally platonic over the years that they've known each other. Cash-strapped and about to be evicted from their crappy little apartment, they find inspiration at a high school reunion from a gay couple (a hilarious Justin Long and Brandon Routh) to venture into the adult film business to make ends meet.

Zack Brown (Seth Rogen) and Miriam "Miri" Linky (Elizabeth Banks) have been long time friends and roommates. Both struggle to pay the bills so they decide to make a porno movie. He asks assistance from his generous colleague Delaney (Craig Robinson). The rest of the crew includes a cameraman Deacon (Jeff Anderson), Lester (Jason Mewes), Stacey (Katie Morgan) and Bubbles (popular porn star Traci Lords). The flick had some laugh out loud sequences such Lester shooting from below unaware of what’s to come, auditions and the actual shooting. Soundtrack was descent and screenplay despite its vulgarity hit some points. The film could have been better without the cheesy. Yeah, it looks to be like it could be really great. Though, I am not sure how much I want to see it in the theater though.  I will add it to my 2008 movies to see but only rent it for now.

I think that the title was chosen to spark controversy, but really, the content of this movie is not half as objectionable as the content in other movies that don't have "Porno" in the title. To paraphrase director Kevin Smith, it's fine to have movies where people are tortured and murdered and have their heads cut off, but for some reason, it isn't considered ok to have movies with people having sex in them--that gets an NC-17 rating.
