Daft B-movie sci-fi that sees a futuristic soldier bred only for service is replaced by a newer, better model and left for dead on a planetary waste dump. The inevitable showdown ensues. Cheap and cheerful nonsense.

Soldier is a really well done sci-fi the right amount of action and thinking (some may think too much action). It is surprisingly subtle and interesting. Kurt Russel does a great job and really sells a character who almost never speaks. A great movie.

I was pleasantly surprised by this. It wasn't what I was expecting at all. The story veered clear of cliches and predictable plot avenues. Kurt Russel was very low key compared to what I'm used to seeing from him, playing the emotionally juevenile but survival savvy engineered killer. Refreshingly intelligent.

The story is about are main character Todd who is an engineered military fighting machine, but after being left for dead on a remote planet he starts a new life. He must fight his very replacements to save his newly found friends.

In every Paul W.S. Anderson movie that he direct's it always looks like it has a good buget to it like: The Resident Evil film series, Mortal Kombat, Death Race and now this film, and just like some of his other films it always has the same results; a wasted …
