Anything Denzel Washington does seems to be pretty god, and this is no exception. It is a good storythat not many people think of when it comes to the topic of integration. Sports integration changed the face of sports forever so it is a topic I am very interested in. The movie did a fair job of painting us a picture of what the team went through during integration. This is a MUST watch.

Remember the Titans avoid the typical cheesy sports cliches by injecting its plot with some genuine heart, mostly care of a commanding performance by Denzel Washington. Unsuspectedly sneaks up on you by the conclusion.

One of the few 'based on a true story' sports movies that I actually somewhat enjoy. It gets smaltzy and predictable, but the characters shine in spots and it becomes very easy to root for the team.

It was a pretty typical sports movie. But, having Denzel Washington in it saved it from being horrible.

Remember the Titans is a well done Disney inspirational sports story. Its suppose to be kind of cheezy. This is a story about overcoming differences, which has been done a lot. But, Remember the Titans does manage to bring some originality to the topic. Would be a good movie for the family (with older children not toddlers who will think its boring).

Ok, so this movie is a little sappy...still I liked it. Denzel Washington is one of my favorites and he doesn't disappoint here either as the hard-nosed coach who is forced to integrate black players into what was an all-white football team. Will Patton plays the coach he replaces and decides to stay on as his assistant and he does a good supporting job as do the players led by actors Wood Harris, Ryan Hurst, Kip Pardue and Donald Faison. Even a very young Hayden Panettiere shines as the football-loving and doll-hating daughter of the assistant coach. A very uplifting and inspiring movie that is based on a true story and it arrives at #35.

This movie could not have forced the feel-good elements any further unless they handed out lollipops and hugs with each viewing.

A little on the sappy side, but Remember the Titans is that feel-good movie that does the job. I won't say it breaks any new boundaries, but it will lift your spirits.
