One of the funniest movies ever made. Its use of satire and classic sketch comedy makes this Monty Python's most beloved movie.

An endlessly hilarious classic which if not seen, leaves many pop-culture references unexplained. This movie shaped our culture in a great way. The British sense of humor displayed relies heavily on the deadpan and expression of absurdity. And absurd it is, everything from a man-killing rabbit (defeated by a 'holy hangrenade') to a woman absent mindedly beating a cat against a wall from no reason whatsoever, to a quest for a "shrubbery" this is one of the most quoted movies of all time.

From its opening multi-language titles (that sure looks like Swedish) to the closing arrest of the entire Dark Ages cast by modern-day bobbies, Monty Python and the Holy Grail helped to define "irreverence" and became an instant cult classic. This movie is clever on jokes and humor. I noticed that the movie is really cheap and that's what makes it so funny like that scene when are main characters are getting chase by a big monster and the narrator said "So are heroes are getting chase by the beast but suddenly the animator died of a heart attack" and then it showed you the guy who doing the animation of the beast fell on the floor dead.

If you watched the British series Monty Python (or the John Cleese series "Faulty Towers", and liked it, watch this movie - it's freakin hilarious. If you did and didn't get the humor in it - forget about it - you'll be clueless once again.

In many ways, this is the ultimate Monty Python film. It isn't the first or most elaborate, even, but it's certainly the most quoted, and for good reason. The script bombards the audiences with a host of sight gags, witty wordplay, and absurdist humor and never bores the audience, choosing instead to conduct the plot through a series of vignettes. The result is a bold and hilarious take on revisionist history, definitely on par with some of Mel Brooks' finest work.

This is funny, entertaining comedy, but in the end it doesn't leave some greater effect on you like life of brian

Probably the goofiest comedy to ever be considered a classic. It's dumb, broad comedy and random narrative structure work so well that almost anyone could enjoy it and have lots of laughs.

What a hilarious movie! Of course, the funniest part is the horses they ride (or rather, the lack of horses they ride!). And, I'm not even all that much of a Monty Python fan, to be honest with you.
