This is a disorienting and claustrophobic look into the effects of PTSD that mostly succeeds. The film is best at creating an atmospheric attitude of terror and confusion that washes over the entire film.

The less I knew what was going on, the more I wanted to find out. This film has a strange effect just like the crazy hallucinations it presents. I liked the camerawork and editing. Truly weird, in a good way.

Overall, an interesting film visually. Different than I thought it was going to be, but still worth watching.

When I was watching The Jacket with my girlfriend, I kept telling her that it was Jacob's Ladder. She had never seen this, so we rented it and I got to watch it again for the first time in a long time. Tim Robbins and Elizabeth Pena are good in their roles, and it was one of the first "mind-#%!" movies I remember seeing. Give this film a chance, especially if you like those "didn't-see-that-one-coming" type movies.

Tim Robbin's is really good in this film and every time I watch it I pick up something new. The creepy, blurry faced guys in the car still freaks me out.

One of my favorite in the psychological horror genre: Jacob's Ladder may confuse you the first time around, but watch it again and it inches its way into your head - gestate, and truly freaks you out. An extreme head trip - my favorite kind
