You really can feel the heat coming off this polished, Michael Mann directed thriller.

The story is about two men face each other on opposite sides (one a thief, one an officer) they battle for ground as they explore the streets of L.A. This movie has Al Pacino a legend actor and we got Robert DE Niro who is a legend as well, all two of those actors having a shoot down with either is just pure epic and this movie didn't let me down.

A good, not great movie that could've been 20 minutes shorter, (cut out the Natalie Portman story line) and it would've made it a better movie. It was a treat to see DeNiro and Pacino interacting with each other in the same film. They both appeared in Godfather II (1974) but they never interacted with each other in it. Again, trim the fat, and it would've been a perfect 4 star film with a perfect balance of action and story telling.

Michael Mann directs a slick crime thriller that features good cat-and-mouse chemistry between De Niro and Pacino. The shoot-out scene on an open Los Angeles street at the end is brutal, realistic, and destructive.

Michael Mann's best movie. A big crime opus that's well worth the long running time.

Pacino? De Niro? The same scene? At last?!?! I'm not a big Michael Mann fan but this is his best work. An excellent heist film revolving around the hunter and his prey. A true masterpiece.

Awesome movie! The scene in the coffee shop was incredible. It doesn't get much better than that. What DeNiro and Pacino do with their facial expressions and posture tells so much more than words. Great acting.

It has Pacino and De Niro in it, so it's gotta be at least decent.
