"Clerks II" is funny, but disposable, because much like the Quick Stop from the original, the perceptiveness of the vulgar sense of humor is sadly absent.

A less imaginative sequel to the ground-breaking comedy, Clerks II hasn't been received as well as its predecessor. Set aside from the original movie, Clerks II is a really funny movie and has loveable characters, and another story people can relate to. It makes you ask yourself; How far would you let yourself change to get ahead in the rat race? Dante and Randal's friendship is more concentrated than in the first which makes it a more enjoyable and softer movie to watch than the first. This is a must-see for fans of the first and most comedy movie lovers. Great movie in its own right; just not as groundbreaking as the first.

Dante and co are now in their 30s and still flipping burgers, but now spouting cumbersome, self absorbed drivel at each other. Kevin Smith should try sticking his head out of the door and look at the world around him; every one else has moved on. This is utterly obnoxious crap that reminded me of the scene in Whatever Happened To Baby Jane? when Bette Davis dressed up as a little girl in a desperate attempt to recapture her long-gone glory days. Embarrassingly dreadful.

Having read reviews of Clerks one and two and expecting nothing I stumbled onto this on tv and actually enjoyed a lot of it. I'm a sucker for romance in almost any form, so I had an ok time. It's not much, but it entertained me. I especially liked Rosario Dawson's performance.

It really feels like Kevin Smith is reaching in this sequel. The jokes are cruder and less clever and the film has a more polished, "let's up the ante" feel. The black and white grittiness and simplicity of the first film is what made it sort of a transcendent slacker indie film and this movie, while still occasionally funny, misses all those notes.

WOW!!! What an completely awful flick. I thought the first one was bad, but that clown Kevin Smith really shit the bed on this one. Terrible acting and embarrassingly bad writing. A COMPLETE GREASE FIRE of a movie.

A true continuation that delivers more laughs than the first film. Fun watch.

I really feel that Kevin Smith is over rated as a director. I liked Chasing Amy, dogma and mall rats but the clerks movie just don't do it for me. Its just to much potty humor for my taste.

Man, who would've thought a sequel to a comedy classic that came out more than 10 years ago would actually be *gasp* GOOD?!?! Better than good, its absolutely hysterical. If you liked the first one, you'll definitely be satisfied.
