Action: 3/3 + Comedy: 1.5/2 + Love/Sex: 1/1 + Plot: 1/1 + Music: 1/1 + Good vs. Evil: 1/1 + Special Effects: 0.5/1 = 9/10 or 90%. It's not only a greatish performance from Bale, who is a completely mezmerizing psychotic, but it's also the most important feminist film of the decade so far. A complete confession and trying to fit in are means seldom met through murder on a large and massive scale, but you never know unless you try, right?

A clever slasher flick with such questionable material you'll laugh your ass right off. Patrick Bateman is completely 'erratic', and is my favourite Christian Bale character so far. Writing is not bad at all, along with interesting direction and acting. This one deserves two thumbs up, though I can't say that this one earns some oscar buzz, since it is nothing of the sort, but a very fun, and intriguing slasher flick, that pleases. I may just have a new guilty pleasure on my hands! FINAL SCORE :::: 78% ::::

Amazing film!! I saw this when I was 12 years old and hated it. Saw it again at 23 and loved it! All I saw before was some crazy ass guy cutting girls up with a chainsaw, I didn't get it. But after watching it again I came to a love and appreciate the satire and pure genius of it. Mary Harron was right to fight for Christian Bale to play in this because he rocked that part. He was amazing! My favorite scene will always be when he kills Paul Allen. Classic! Great movie!!

Despite what it looks like, this is not another slasher movie. It's a black comedy that offers up lots of uniquely entertaining moments, as we take a trip into the mind of a serial killer who is obsessed with perfection and fitting into society. Christian Bale's performance is amazing.

A violent, offbeat odyssey into the mind of a psychotic and his bloody deeds, though it's idea of closure is woefully unsatsifying and the secondary characters are rarely interesting; Christian Bale gives an electric performance and nearly saves the film single-handedly. Final Grade: C+

I call this movie a "beautiful mess." Even though there are many great things about this movie (such as Christian Bale's acting, the film's tone, pacing, et cetera), I feel like it's seriously lacking something. But I think that's what the movie is trying to tell its audience: something may look stunning on the outside but inside there might lie a big black hole. This film is rich of quotes worth... well, quoting. I think a really strong script kept this movie from falling apart so I am ultimately recommending it.

The only time I saw this movie I was blitzed on mead and have no recollection of it but I hear it is good.

Wonderfully skewers the 80s yuppie culture while remaining dark and disturbing. Christian Bale is outstanding.
