This is one of the most over-the-top movies (besides Over the Top) I have ever seen. Half of Stallone's dialogue is made up of grunting and heavy breathing. Here's a drinking game for this movie. 1) Rambo gives a one or two-word command or response, take a shot. 2) Extremely close zoom in on Rambo's eyes, take a shot. 3) Something explodes, take a shot. That's all you need and you should be wasted by the time the credits roll to that horrible song!

By the third time out all you really want is the action adn this one more than delivers.

After three years, John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) returns, but this time he doesn't want to fight. However, when one of his dearest friends, Colonel Trautman (Richard Crenna), is captured during an ambush, Rambo decides it's time to get back in the game in “Rambo III.”
Take the final scene in “Rambo: First Blood Part II” and stretch that message out for an hour and a half. That's “Rambo III.” The first hour or so is nothing but exposition and blatant propaganda. Then the action starts, which is really the reason you're watching anyway, and it doesn't disappoint.
In the end, there's really not much to complain about, other than the writing. The action is a vast improvement from “II,” albeit there are the same amount if not more explosions. Rambo definitely has …
