Silly cashin on Top Gun that does have a giddy sense of fun and Lois Gossett Jr. is pretty good as the tough mentor archetype. The soundtrack is pretty great too. Entertaining flying scenes. The lead actor Jason Gedrick is pretty wooden though.

Good drama and wonderful dog fights. Iron Eagle was an alternative to the ever popular Top Gun. Louis Gosset Jr. lifts the spirits up for this flick. Iron Eagle shines rises, had a few lessons too.
