With such a remarkable cast this film could have been good. The script falters and mainly focuses on the action than the plot. Lacks proper character development and direction. Parts of the film was entertaining and had a few dull scenes. Overall S.W.A.T. is a decent action flick whose talents of the artists were not fully utilized.

Unrealistic, uncomplicated, and loud. The cast isn't as compelling as it should be with the actors the film has at its disposal. The action scenes are well-executed, but, without characters we care about, ultimately empty. Nowhere near an in depth police expose as it could have been.

This movie gets one bonus star for Samuel L. and another for Michelle Rodriguez. You do the math.

Typical loud, action-heavy vehicle with a ludicrous plot serves only to crank up the violence while dialing down such things as character development, dialog and story. If all you want is action - go for it.

Simply put, not good and not really worth watching. It is kind of fun at the beginning, but from that point on, stay away!
