Unlikable is the first word that comes to my mind when I think about "Patch Adams." The second is manipulative.

Based on a true story, a doctor tries to help his patients by making them laugh. This movie is unfunny and the movie had a bad heart which to me is a bad move for a true story on this amazing guy.

A mixed bag, with an odd message. Watching Williams perform his goofy antics for kids was not all that funny.

Williams' portrayal of the lives-by-his-own-rules, Patch Adams, was charming. Although it has a sad element, it was very funny at time, touching at others.
