Actually, "I Am Legend" was brought to life from the original novel with great gusto and heart. Will Smith is quickly becoming (and probably could already be considered) one of the most diverse and surprising actors of our time. Holding much of the film up by his substantial performances, this science fiction thriller went as one of the scariest movies of 2007. A great film to own and watch.

I am Legend is a pretty good movie. The part when sam (the dog) dies is saad and depressing.

I really like the whole premise of the movie. That, and the action are the two best things about this movie.

For an action movie, Will Smith does a pretty good acting job, especially for being by himself for most of the film. It's nothing revolutionary, but pretty good.

If they've only spent more money on plot development rather than marketing and promotion, it would probably do better. Nice attempt and intriguing start. It could really have gone to a more climactic and fulfilling end, but did not quite make it. Great art work. Good actor. What went wrong?

I think that this was a very intriguing idea for a film, made me want to read the book. It was thought provoking in the fact that you were lead to believe the infected ones were without emotion and intellect. It is very interesting to think of the ramification of such pattern of thought and what it really means. I did feel as if the movie was over hyped thou.

Omg this movie is GREATLY overrated. Everyone I talked to said great things about this film, strongly guided me to see it. What's the big deal! Sure it has a great plot, but it was boring, especially the beginning. It was hard to understand what was happening at first, which made the movie pointless and non-interesting. It gets better, but those mutant things were a bit of a stretch. There was good camera work, with those mutants scaring the 'living daylights' out of me at times. The one, main thing I hated though was the ending. It was the most predictable, unoriginal ending I've ever seen.

Will Smith gives another excellent performance as Dr. Robert Neville, the last man on Earth, due to a viral spread, of what once a cancer cure. The director does an excellent job of giving the feeling of complete solitude in the concrete jungle of NYC. The only real major downfall of this movie, is the look of the zombies. They're completely CG, and its easy to tell. They get rather annoying, in an otherwise good horror suspense film.

Good movie but not as good as I had hoped it would be. Some intrigue and suspense. Ihated the ending though.
