A good documentary. This guy was crazy. Well directed and good narration. It was kind of pointless but still worth seeing.

Grizzly Man is a powerful and stunning documentary, steeped in the sadness that surrounds the tragic story it portrays. The film wisely takes a mostly observational approach without editorializing, using actual footage of Treadwell to weave the emotional narrative of his story. Herzog involves himself at a critical moment in one of the best parts

Well structured and fascinating. What a disturbed man. Are documentaries that highlight bizarre individuals (this, Trekkies, Spellbound) good? Are we laughing at their expense?

Truly remarkable documentary about one mans fascination with wild bears and his ultimate death at the hands of the creatures he loved and cared for. A nature film which explores the tract of human behaviour rather than the unpredictable characteristics of the Wild Alaskan grizzly bears. Painstakingly put together by director Werner Herzog with revealing interviews and footage that comes across as sad, funny and emotionally charged. Wonderfully challenging and a mesmerizingly brilliant exercise in filmmaking.

This typically leftfield Herzog oddity is alternately beautiful and infuriating; the story of the Steve Irwin-like Timothy Treadwell and his childlike obsession with bears and filmmaking gripped me throughout and left me haunted.

Yeah, this guy Timothy Treadwell is wacko. Was wacko. He wanted to live with the bears and they killed him. Surprise. Well, he did survive longer than most people. You almost feel sorry for him, but then he goes on a rant about the forest service that is unnerving and you have to think this guy is crazy. This film was alright, but not the best. It made me never want to get close to bears.

This guy was crazier than a s#*t-house mouse. How do you protect bears that are already in a wildlife preserve? Yes, I guess he was somewhat brave but also very, very stupid. I just feel sorry for the girlfriend, because he got what he deserved. An excellent watch, if you like to see loonies rant and rave.

Nick's right. the best part of this movie is how crazy that treadwell bastard is. But the truly wonderful part is how crazy all his friends and even his parents are. Then to top it off, the director is a nut job as well. It'll be interesting to see how he follows this up with the Vietnam war movie Rescue Dawn.

Whether Timothy Treadwell was a visionary or just plain nuts, you have to admit he had a lot of bravery. I'm not one for documentaries, but this is highly entertaining, though I wonder if I should have laughed so much at such a tragic end.

Even if you hate documentaries, you'll enjoy watching this one. Timothy Treadwell is one unique person. Between his bravery living with bears and his cussing, you'll never be bored watching it. I was in awe and laughing at the same time.
