Cool idea for an action-science fiction thriller. It doesn't quite turn out that way but it's sufficiently entertaining. Denzel Washington is good as always. The film livens up once Jim Caviezel appears onscreen.

It was Deja Va all right at the end.

An interesting premise quickly becomes lost in Tony Scott's recent penchant for confusing directing and quick edits. The whole film unfolds like an music video and the characters and plot become lost in the fray. Competently acted, but poorly directed.

Good thing he left himself a note. Can the future be changed? Can the past? Is it all immutable or totally up for grabs?

An underrated film. The time travel is used effectively.

Once I realised that all the techno babble meant ‘man goes back in time to try and alter the present’ I was fine. As concepts go they don't come much higher and not only that, this one gets close to the summit. Denzel is great and so are Paula Patton and Jim Cavaziel. There’s a clever have-your-cake-and-eat-it ending too. This is the Tony Scott film for those who normally avoid a Tony Scott. Film. Like me.

The whole theme of the movie was utterly stupid. But, the other parts of the movie were great!

Paranoid thriller works quite effectively despite its preposterous premise and handling of time-travel; nice atmosphere and careful direction from Tony Scott help. Final Grade: B

A film that tries to achieve a good balance between crime, action & sci-fi, but by not focusing on any one aspect, fails to make anything truly stand out. The story is good, the acting is solid, but it never manages to find its rhythm.
