Possibly Woody Allen's most thoughtful film in years, it's a familiar, but enjoyable collaboration of nostalgia and magical realism.

I am in love with this movie, I think if any other director had tried to make it, the story would have turned out cheap and contrite, but Woody Allen made it charming and wonderful. God, I loved it. The back cover synopsis on the DVD is hilarious though, it's so purposefully simple and straightforward and I can't really tell if this was done on purpose or not. I don't know, this is one of those movies I could watch over and over again in the dark and never get tired of it.

The story is about a family travels to Paris for business where the relationship of a young couple comes into focus when they are forced to look into a life beyond their own. This movie has one of the best writing of 2011 I mean it's so well written and the main character was so likable and you understand he version on pairs and every thing else.

I expected to be terribly bored by this film. However, it was lovely and charming and interesting. Paris is captured elegantly, and when Wilson's character slips into the past I felt like I was right there with him. I think this film was well executed, and I suppose there is a nice lesson to be learned at the end of it.

A wholly original film from Woody Allen. But, as much as I love Woody, how many more times can (after 40 years) go back to the "hey, I'm a lonely neurotic guy who's just trying to find my way in life story." As far as the story goes, it was original. This could be considered his sci-fi film with the time-travel and all. I think Woody found the perfect guy to basically play him (Woody) on film, in Owen Wilson. It's good, but not great.

I didn't know what to expect going into this movie. I was mainly watching it because it has several Oscar nominations. It isn't a normal comedy you'd expect Owen Wilson to be in, and I was hesitant on how well he would fit. He remarkably does a great job and fits quite well with the what to movie is. It has the right amount of comedy, and brings to the table a much more in depth plot than I thought it would be. People who don't know their history very well may not understand or enjoy this movie as much. It definitely has originality, and it worth seeing out of the movies nominated for best picture.

I enjoyed this much more than I was expecting. I haven't seen a Woody Allen film in ages, but this stuck a great balance between comedy and drama and while I was skeptical of Owen Wilson being the lead, he works remarkably well. I'm not a huge fan of classic novels or film, but this film captured that time, even if it ended abruptly.

Not a good movie. Similar to "Scoop" in its silliness. Only those that are classic readers, 20s fans, and Allen fans will enjoy this. Wilson is Annoying and McAdams is off her normal role. I felt entertained maybe twice throughout the movie. Skip this movie and shame on you Gold Globes.

Rich characters and dialogue fill this charming comedy. Wilson plays the right amount of sentimental and it's a joy to follow him on his midnight strolls. This is a short and sweet story with a nice message. It may lack the depth I was looking for, but it's still memorable.
