This is one of those movies where everyone calls flawless but I think it's well done on a acting and directing point of view, but I do think it's a bit overrated in my opinion. The story to Margin Call takes place in 2008 as a tense action as we follow one 24-hour period at an investment bank just before the financial crisis hits. Margin Call is a movie that I thought was alright. I do think the movie is well acted and nicely written, but to me the movie is a slow burn and I just don't think it's brilliant as people thought it was. It's not a bad film but I don't think it's a great film, just alright in my opinion.

Brilliant film! Great cast. Fantastic screenplay. While I'm not an expert in business/economics, the dialogue in this film was engrossing and powerful. One of my favorites of 2011 and one of the best as well! I plan to watch this again soon.

Excellent script, very good performances. Director/Writer JC Chandor has done it to turn a serious topic into a packing drama. Worth a watch!

An exceptional cast can only do so much with a story that, as mentioned by others, is just a bit boring. The story is quite topical and intriguing, but board room drama just isn't punchy enough to make that big of impression. Still, for a nice look into the financial crisis, it's worth it just for actors involved.

Set in a busy Wall Street, a company works and stays up overnight to find a solution to the problem that might kill the company the next day. *** I didn't expect much from this film as a whole so I was not that disappointed when I get to see this overnight drama. Bad points, this bores everyone who are not into this kind of theme, a money drama, and the movie featured not much of exciting scenes, not even dialogues. THOUGH, I really commend the actors who made this film A BIT watchable. The cast, in general, knows how to deal with this kind of film.

A well-acted, if a little talky, drama inspired by the Lehman Brothers collapse. A tense economic discovery leads several characters to question what's more important - making out rich or protecting the market. The script is sharp, the acting is great, the premise gets a little heavy at times. Plus, I was confused a lot as I don't really understand a lot of the economics they were talking about. It's kind of like watching a play.
