I remember this movie scaring me quite a bit when I was younger. Let me put it this way: There is no way I would stand in front of a mirror and say "Candyman" three or five times or at all.

"Halloween review": Candyman. this movie is chilling and really shocking at times. but the title of the movie really makes it sound silly and not scary, but when you watch the movie it is "REALLY SCARY". and this movie will get a 3 and a half out of /4 star's "chilling movie".

Decent low budget horror starring the largely under-appreciated Tony Todd. Nice imagery and theme of urban myths based around the unusual setting of a rather grim housing project, but the ending is ridiculous even by schlock horror standards.

Reaches a step beyond mere slasher standards to deliver a superb horror film with lots of suspense and scares and a healthy dose of commentary. Stands next to 'Hellraiser' as the two best Clive Barker adaptations.

A nice little urban horror gem that reaches far beyond a mere slasher story. A bit cerebral, but it still has its scary moments and anything taken from Clive Barker is going to be at least interesting. Sweets to the Sweet indeed.
