As inspiring as this India-set rags-to-riches story is, the plot feels very improbable and the uplifting moments hold little water when mixed in with the excessively gruesome ones.

An orphan from the slums is one question short of winning 20 million rupees on India's "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" when he is whisked away by police who suspect him of cheating. By telling the story of his life, he explains every answer he has given - but there is much more than money on his mind. This movie has won 8 Oscars and to me that is okay but I think the dark knight should have won more.

Danny Boyle continues to reinvent himself. Slumdog Millionaire is an example of pure, old-school filmmaking, transposed into impoverished India. The director tells a classic story of love, revenge, and redemption, using mostly unknown actors and settings. The result is an emotionally-charged and, ultimately, triumphant and brilliantly staged film, easily the best film of 2008 and fully deserving of its Best Picture Oscar.

I know that it was a great movie. It was put together nice and had great editing. I just found it unbelievably boring.

I did not expect this movie to be as good as it was.It definitely deserved an Oscar.Its just a shame while everybody is making $$$ off this movie, The kids in this film are still living in shacks

Best movie I've ever seen, I think. I wanted to cry the whole time. I literally couldn't breathe at the end. So brilliant. So romantic. So perfect. So engaging. A fairytale of epic proportions. I don't think I've ever cared so much about a movie. It deserved every Oscar it won and more. If I could marry this movie, I would. I want to make sweet sweet love to this movie.

this film, Slumdog millionaire, is a very admirable movie. I like it very much!! all questions ask from the program, ''Who Wants To Be A Millionaire'', to Jamal are related to his childhood years. The best Boyle's films I watched.

Slumdog Millionaire is a very well done and enjoyable movie. I didn't find it to be mind blowing as some did, but surely worth watching. Dev Patel really made the movie.
