I was expecting this movie to be just as bad as "Resurrecting The Champ" but it was actually pretty good & better then I expected.Im just wondering........After Jamie Foxx played Ray Charles, He started to think he could actually sing. Now Im wondering when is he gonna start thinking he can play the cello?

A journalist (Robert Downey, Jr) finds a homeless man (Jamie Foxx) who turns out to be a talented musician who even attended Julliard, but lost his way because of schizophrenia. Downey, Jr helps him and in turn helps himself (a story I feel I've seen enough). Just alright, wouldn't recommend it unless you were really curious

Solid drama with a great story and casting, but despite the uplifting nature, it just felt like something was lacking. Wonderful music and characters, but I never felt fully engaged. Still a very good film, just not extraordinary.

Pretty good movie. I really liked Jamie Fox's performance. The way the script was written it made the viewers have sympathy for the homless man which was good. Some parts were good others were bad, like the light show during the middle of the film. I ahted that part. But overall I loved this film.

All the parts (acting, story, script) of this movie were good yet some how the sum of the parts was less good then the individual pieces. Some how it just didn't quite work. The movie got kind of garbled for me and didn't seem like one cohesive vision. The acting was good, the depiction of schizophrenia was good, the story was good, but some how the movie was kind of boring . . .

Okay, I'm a huge fan of cellos, Robert Downey Jr., and Catherine Keener, but this movie left a bad taste in my mouth. However, after watching the movie for the second time, I found that I adored Jamie Foxx's talents as well as the way that this was written. Word salads, musically imagining color, and all that jazz...its awesome. A must see.

Once you get the fact that he's homeless, a musical genius and schizophrenic, there's really nothing else left in this movie. The whole thing is nothing but a good idea stretched out an hour or two. Still, it's not a bad movie. I think it was worth the five bucks I paid to see it.

This was a pretty good movie. Performances were great, music was good, and story was entertaining. The cinematography was good at times and it paced well. Still, it lacked the cinematic magic that make films great. Solid but not more.
