I would actually rate this a 2.75 if I could. It has been a while since I've seen it and I remember certain scenes and that I liked the film over all.

Typically of Denzel's films, Virtuosity is a sci-fi thriller that's full of cyber-babble yet completely lacking in the kind of tongue-in-cheek humour that could've made it watchable. Russell Crowe tries hard as a gleeful and seemingly indestructible serial killer, but it's all far too ridiculous to be taken as seriously as it's presented.

This movie holds up well, the effects are still quite well done and this movie is just a very fun ride, you can't help but like SID 6.7 in a way.

As you can see on my profile page. I'm no fan of Crowe. However, this movie was pre-Crowe before he really became Crowe...? I guess. I enjoyed this movie. I think I actually went to see it in theaters (don't I know how I got in because at that time I was only 14). The idea was great. And for a 14 year old boy....nothing would be better than to have the opportunity to see computer images in real life (especially when you play a lot of video games.) Very good special effects for the time it was made. Enjoyable story and action....even pace of the flick. One of the weaker points of the movie was Kelly Lynch....I just couldn't get her character really. Didn't feel it at all.

I loved this movie when it first came out. The special effects were really cool and the fight scenes were great. Little did I know that both would become award winning actors. See it at your own risk as I have not seen it forever.
