Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder have chemistry that can cure almost anything. Just not this movie's underwritten script.

A lowest of the low concept "comedy" that reunites Pryor and Wilder in a partnership that wasn't that funny in the first place.

for me, this is "superior fire power", best work of them twoo. Clean, witty, and manages to keep going with it: the simple ideea from the start, a blind man and a deaf man, rolles until the end and streches my "sense of smile" into laughs. Also, Joan Severance is totaly noticed!

Our Daily Free Stream: Gene Wilder - See No Evil, Hear No Evil. Zum Tod von Gene Wilder! - Die gute Idee vorweg: Richard Pryor spielt eine Figur, die blind ist. Gene Wilders Charakter ist taub. Sie freunden sich an und bilden ein gutes Team. Was für Möglichkeiten könnten sich daraus ergeben! Leider müssen die Beiden in einem ziemlich stumpfsinnigen Plot über Industrie-Spionage agieren. Da gehts um einen Super-Chip, der Millionen wert ist und hinter dem eine ganze Garde an Bösewichtern her ist. Eine einzige Verfolgungsjagd von Anfang bis Ende. Interessant ist einzig der Charakter von Joan Severance: Sie verkörpert eine klassische Schönheit, die des Mordes verdächtigt wird. Das gibt ihr Gelegenheit, ihren feinen Sinn für Humor auszuspielen.
