Linda Fiorentino's career didn't last as long as she deserved. But she did appear in some great movies from The Moderns to Men in Black and some not-so-great movies like Jade. But this film showcases her talent for sensuality, wit, and humor. She was excellent in this. The rest of the film is a standard neo-noir setup. It doesn't help that most of the male characters are complete idiots. There is a fun cameo by the late great J.T. Walsh.

This has to be one of the most original and terrifically acted neo-noirs ever. "The Last Seduction" not only has an entirely different tone for a seduction thriller, but also stands out for its fully realized portrayals of the male psyche in response to female dominance, as well as being one of the only ones where the femme fatale is the movie's protagonist.
