"Jeepers Creepers" is unsettling, but it's premise is kind of dumb.

Started off quite nicely actually, but about a third of the way through it drops off dramatically. Dreadful script, annoying characters, and a weak ending...Not the worst movie I've ever seen, there are certainly some things I enjoyed since I did finish the film, but not a good horror film by any means.

I'm glad to finally come across some people who share my exact viewpoint on this movie. All over the internet I would read about people saying "Jeepers Creepers' has resurrected the horror genre for our generation.
WHAT??!! What type of drugs are you taking?
Both Tarkin and TheWolf are dead on. This movie started off well (I've only seen it once, in the theatres when it first came out) and after about 30 to 45 minutes.....it was on a large drop down into an imaginable pit of crap.
I even thought it would have promise around the idea of the 'Creeper'. It goes after people for specific body parts which then....in one way or another replace his old, used, or damaged parts. Sounds like a great idea huh? It reminded me very much a Marvel Comic character called Terror …

Started good, but got lame really quick.

Jeepers Creepers has a lot going for it. It has a decent premise (nothing extraordinary, but it's workable), several excellent scenes, and a great baddy. Instead, the dialogue is terrible, the characters often make frustratingly awful and difficult to swallow decisions, and several annoying horror movie cliches that honestly should be avoided by any horror movie these days. For the first hour or so, Jeepers Creepers is an interesting, creepy, even innovative two-person horror chase with an unsettling villain and several genuinely unnerving scenes. After the Creeper discards his hat and coat and his true nature is revealed, however, it quickly falls apart.
I really have lost faith in horror films as I get older, I don't think that its just me, for the most part directors keep rehashing …
