Kevin Smith runs rampant and sheds any pretence of doing anything but indulging his own nerdish fetishes and love of nob jokes. If you don't share his sense of humour you won't crack a smile, but if you do it's best watched with a few like-minded friends and a case of beer.

There's a lot going on in this manic adventure - a lot of visual jokes and cameos - but it's missing the same wit and smartness that Smith's earlier films had. The film still has some funny parts, for sure, but it's not nearly as intricate or satisfying as the early films of the Smith canon.

The side characters get their own movie and it is very funny. Smith takes a more goofy route this time, but still retains the quality of his earlier films. Jay and Bob manage to carry the whole film with ease. There's also a whole layer of jokes just for the fans of Smith's other films. Altogether, a fun comedy.

Jay and Silent Bob (Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith) try to get their royalties from Holden McNeil (Ben Affleck) for creating a film based on their characters from the comicbook he created namely Bluntman and Cronic. Had too many gay joke references, ludicrous scenes such as Federal Wildlife Marshal Willenholly (Will Ferrell) incapability of determining a kid from an orangutan, kids being left outside a convenience store and the matrix like girl weaving through sensors by walking on the wall’s. It comprises of a lot of cameos such as Wes Craven, Mark Hamill, Chris Rock and more. Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back is a descent comedy compared to …

This was the movie that I was waiting for! I had to hit this movie at the midnight showing at my local theater because I, much like the rest of the Kevin Smith fan community, had been waiting years for Jay and Silent Bob to get their own movie. Talk about an allstar line up for a cast! Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes have created the one of the most notorious combinations in a very short amount of time as Jay and Silent Bob. Nearly every character that Kevin Smith has had in his previous films (with the exception of a few that he just couldn't tolerate to work with ever again) made an appearance in this movie, some of which had multiple appearances.
Jason Lee playing both Brodie (now running comic book store after retiring from hosting the Tonight Show) and Banky (The inker on the Bluntman …
