Trips over the same hurdles the last half dozen Shyamalan disappointments have. Illogical character actions, bad dialogue, plotting that's downright preposterous, and not a single moment of anything slightly scary or tense.

Like so many of M. Night Shyamalan's more mediocre efforts what starts off as a tense and quite plausible situation just gets more and more ridiculous as things go along. But props to Josh Hartnett, who plays the role to a tee and even thought it stinks of nepotism, Saleka Shyamalan manages to pull off a pretty good pop star as Lady Raven. Still, if it didn't go so far off the rails in the second act, I'd give it a higher rating but it is what it is.

I mean, this entire sting operation to trap a serial killer, known as the butcher, at a concert without knowing what he looks like, and the whole thing was on a hutch.
If they had known what he looked like, he would have been arrested immediately, and this would have been a short film.
I wonder if there's a chance this could happen in the Unbreakable Universe, where Cooper has superpowers that make things work out for him and …
