An unwieldy but well made mystery thriller that is sometimes entertaining. Director Simon West is better known for his blockbusters like CON AIR or LARA CROFT: TOMB RAIDER. His handling of the film's dark (and I mean pitch black dark) themes of rape culture, misogyny, and corruption is uneven so it winds up more lurid and sensationalist than thoughtful-provoking. Still, the acting is good.

From the man who brought us Con air brings this let down of a action flick. The villains in the movie are forgettable and John Travolta was okay in this film.

It was pretty bad. I expected more from a Madeleine Stowe movie.
