Takashi Miike is an aquired taste. No matter how prepared you think you are, you will avert your eyes during Imprint. He's there to make you squirm and that he does. The story is a bit muddled, but I came to be shocked, not awed.

This director is the only director that can get me to look away and fast forward through gross parts of his films. There are parts of this short movie that are truly disturbing. Bad acting and scenes that dragged on left me not liking it.
