I like John Carpenter's "Vampires" as long as I don't look for anything more inside of it than there is. The underrated Kathryn Bigelow horror/neo-western "Near Dark" is certainly better, but this one's fun too.

Lame post-Buffy vampire flick made well after Carpenter's star had well and truly waned. Humourless and stupid with feeble set pieces and dialogue like "A master vampire who can walk in daylight. Unstoppable. Unless we stop him." But it's still a hundred times better than Ghosts Of Mars...
