The Sandlot is a tribute to the nostalgia of growing up and sharing a common interest with a group of friends. In a way, it is also a tribute to uplifting sports films, told from a kid's perspective. James Earl Jones' (of Field of Dreams) inclusion at the end was a nice touch and the film features enough light comedy and character moments to be entertaining and touching.

One of my favorites, as a child. I still find it a great film.

This is both a goofy coming of age movie (like goonies) and a movie about baseball. This movie finds the right balance between all aspects of the story and really makes you feel connected to the story. A good family friendly sports movie that the older people in the family can enjoy as well.

When I think about my childhood, one of the movies that comes to mind is "The Sandlot." A family classic that is as adventurous as it is comedic. Hilarious and life-altering, this movie teaches kids about the importance of friendship, the importance of teamwork, and the importance of sticking together when times are rough. I loved this movie and recommend it everyone. My niece and I watch it now...along with the darker family movies that we all watch.

Not as serious as Stand By Me, not as much adventure as Goonies, but The Sandlot is a feel-good film that never fails to raise my spirits. It's fun, kind of wacky at times, but always makes me smile.

This movie is great. It has so much imagination and humor in it you can?t help but fall in love with it. The Goonies meets The Wonder Years ? how can you go wrong.
