A film which could and should be an hour shorter. When the attack on Pearl Harbor begins, there are some stunning moments of action, but around the event is a love story. We are supposed to care about the 3 people involved, and the film spends a lot of time trying to flesh out these characters but they remain as flat as they were on the script. There is just too much time spent on the love triangle that caring for the movie becomes increasingly difficult, and in the end, not very good.

This was not so great. There's minimally good action and a predictable love triangle. It didn't do this important and tragic event in US History justice.

If You've seen Team America, then you know how much this movie sucked. They needed to stick to the facts, there was no need for a contrived love story.

If Pearl Harbor had taken the same stance that Saving Private Ryan did, it would have turned out much better. Instead, we're treated to a sanitized war and a love triangle. It wouldn't bother me if I didn't see this one again.
