Martial artist Tony Jaa's debut film is an uneven mix of high flying stunts and crime drama grittiness. The latter especially seems out of place with the buddy-comedy sense of humor and often spectacular chase scenes. Tony Jaa makes an excellent action hero though.

Bringing a different fighting style and doing all the stunts for real (no wires or CG) Tony Jaa bursts onto the scene in a star making performance. Reminiscent of Jackie Chan's early films, it's a fun movie that serves up a lot of awesome action.
